## দেশ ##
পৃথিবীর মাটিকে বিভক্ত করে যে গোত্র
মানুষ সৃষ্টি করেছে, তা হলো দেশ। মানুষগুলোও আজ তাই কেউ পৃথিবীর নেই, ভিন্ন ভিন্ন
দেশের। সব মানুষই আমরা নিজেকে গর্বিত বলে মনে করি, নিজের পরিচয়ের সাথে দেশের নাম
যুক্ত করে। কেউ কি কোনদিন ভেবেছি, কেন এবং কিভাবে এই দেশের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে??
ঈশ্বরের সৃষ্টি এই পৃথিবী। আমরা কি
ভুলে গেছি, কিসের বিনিময়ে আমরা এই খন্ড খন্ড দেশের হয়ে নাগরিকত্ব লাভ করেছি? আমরা
কি নিজের দেহ’কে খন্ড খন্ড করে বিভক্ত করে, এক একটি খন্ড এক একটি কাজে লাগাতে
পারি?? – না, কেউ তা পারি না! নিজেরাই পারি না; তবুও, অর্থের লোভ ও নিজস্ব মুদ্রা
স্থাপনার জন্যেই এতো ভাগে ভাগ হয়েছি ও করে চলেছি।।
ঈশ্বর কি এমনিতেই আমাদের এই ভাগাভাগি
করতে বা হতে দিয়েছেন?? – কখনোই না!! বিনিময়ে কি নিয়েছেন, তাকি কেউ আমরা বলতে
পারবো?? – নিয়েছেন আমাদের মানুষেরই প্রাণ। মানুষ তবে মানুষেরই ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে
পেয়েছে এই ‘দেশ’। তাহলে এইখান থেকেই তো বোঝা যায় যে, মানুষ হয়ে কেউ অন্য মানুষের
ভালো চায় না। চায় শুধু, একজনকে মাড়িয়ে গিয়ে অন্য একজন রাজত্ব করতে। আর রাজত্ব সে-ই
করছে , যার অর্থের জোড়ে আরও কিছু মানুষ অন্য মানুষদের ধ্বংসে লিপ্ত করছে।।
লক্ষ্য কোটি জীবনের বিনিময়ে, পৃথিবীকে
ভাগাভাগি করে এক একটি দেশের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। লোভে লোভী হয়ে মানুষে মানুষে হানাহানি ও
কাড়াকাড়ি করে জন্ম হয়েছে বেড়া দিয়ে ভাগ করা এক একটি দেশের। একবারও কি ভেবেছি, কার
সম্পদ নিয়ে আমরা টানাটানি করছি? যা নিজের বলে কারও কাছ থেকে হানাহানি ও যুদ্ধ করে
কেড়ে নিয়ে স্থাপনা করছি, অন্যের কাছেও বিশ্বাসযোগ্য করে তুলছি, তা কি অন্তত নিজের
মনের কাছে ও বিবেকের কাছে বিশ্বাসযোগ্য?? দেশ’টা আজ আমাদের মানুষ বলি’র বিনিময়ে
এসেছে বলেই, নিজের বলে আমরা স্বীকার করতে পারি। কিন্তু, পুরো পৃথিবীটাকে নিজেদের
বলে বলতে পারি না। এটা কি নিজেদের কথার মাঝে কখনো খেয়াল করে দেখেছি?? এ ক্ষেত্রে তখন
বলতে হয়ঃ- আমরা পৃথিবীর একটি প্রাণী মাত্র। শুধু দায়িত্ব একটু বেশী। আর যেহেতু,
আমরা ক্ষনস্থায়ী একটি প্রাণী মাত্র; সেহেতু নিশ্চয়ই, এইখানে আমাদের বলে যা গড়ছি তা
পর্যন্ত আমাদের নিজেদের নয়। জোর করে দাবী করে, কিছু সৃষ্টি করেও যখন মূল অর্থে
নিজেরাই অন্যের অধীন, তাহলে এই ত্যাগ তিতিক্ষার ফলে এই “ দেশ “ সৃষ্টির মানে কি
হলো??
দেশের ফলে, আজ পুরো বিশাল এক পৃথিবীর
অনন্য স্থান ও অন্যান্য দেশগুলো থেকেও নিজেকে করেছি বন্দী। অর্থ প্রয়োগের ফলে সেসব
স্থান দেখবার ও যাবার সুযোগ আসে, তা না হলে আসে না। নিজেদের নিজেরাই বন্দী করে,
আশায় আশাহত আজ কোটি কোটি মানুষ।
তবে কি মূলত লোভে বশীভূত হবার কারণে
এই দেশের হয়েছে সৃষ্টি। তাই নয় কি?? যুদ্ধ করা কি ভালো কোন লক্ষণ?? নিজেদের প্রশ্ন
করে দেখি একটু....
## Country ##
The groups of people who divided the earth’s land created what we call countries. Today people belong to different countries across the world. We all feel proud of ourselves and attach the name of a country to our identity. Has anyone ever asked why and how these countries were created?
God created this earth. Have we forgotten what we traded to obtain citizenship of these divided pieces of land? Can we cut our own body into pieces and use each piece for a different purpose? — No, no one can do that! We cannot do that ourselves; yet out of greed for money and the desire to establish our own currencies, we have divided the world into so many parts and we keep doing it.
Did God willingly let us split ourselves like this? — Never! Did He take something in exchange, can we say? — He took the lives of people. It was by the sacrifice of people that this “country” was won. From this we can understand that, as humans, we do not truly wish good for other humans. We only want to remove one person and let another rule. And the one who rules is the one who uses wealth to drive more people into destroying others.
With the price of millions of lives, the earth was partitioned and each country was created. Greed turned people against people; with aggression and seizure arose these fenced-off countries. Have we ever thought whose resources we are pulling and tugging over? When we take something by force from someone else, fight wars to seize and build on it, and then try to make it appear legitimate to others — is that at least honest before our own hearts and conscience? Because the “country” came at the cost of human lives, we can claim it as ours. But we cannot truthfully call the whole earth our own. Have we ever noticed that in our words? In that case we must admit: we are just one species on this planet. We merely carry a little more responsibility. And since we are transient beings, surely even what we build here does not ultimately belong to us. When, by forceful claims and creations, we remain essentially subject to others, what does the creation of this “country” mean after all — except the result of sacrifice and endurance?
Because of countries, today we have made unique places on this vast earth into prisons compared to other lands. Only through the application of money do we gain the chance to see or visit those places; otherwise we cannot. We have imprisoned ourselves and millions are disappointed and left hoping.
So was the creation of countries fundamentally driven by greed? Isn’t that so? Is war a good sign? Ask yourselves a little…
